BELLEVUE, Wash. — Transforming Age, a nonprofit operator, has hired Michael Connell as its new chief financial officer.
Connell brings more than 17 years of leadership experience in nonprofit senior living. In addition to overseeing finance and accounting, Connell will also lead IT strategy and operations at Transforming Age.
Prior to joining the Transforming Age, Connell served as the CFO at Asbury Communities in Germantown, Md., where he led the development and execution of long-term financial strategies with an annual budget over $250 million. He also spent several years as the CFO at Ingleside Presbyterian Retirement Community in Washington, D.C., and Lourdes Residence in West Palm Beach, Fla. He has experience in both for-profit senior living and as a healthcare auditor at Ernst & Young.
Connell succeeds Jerry Schoeggl, who served as CFO at Transforming Age for just over a year in a part-time capacity. Schoeggl will now serve as assistant treasurer.
Based in Bellevue, Transforming Age aims to improving the lives of older adults through housing, consumer services, technology, philanthropy and business services. It operates 11 communities in the Seattle and Minneapolis metropolitan areas.
