ALEXANDRIA, Va. — Argentum, an industry association formerly known as the Assisted Living Federation of America, has named Brent Weil as the association’s vice president of workforce development.
In the newly created position Weil will focus on the challenges and opportunities facing the senior living industry in professional development, as well as recruiting and retaining dedicated workers.
In 2015, Argentum cited workforce development as one of the association’s critical focus areas for senior living. Argentum’s research has shown that the industry will need to add 347,000 new jobs and will need to recruit 1.2 million new employees by 2025.
Weil brings 15 years of experience developing workforce solutions to recruitment challenges. Most recently, he worked for The Manufacturing Institute, a subsidiary of the National Association of Manufacturers, where he served as senior vice president of education and workforce. He has also served as vice president of staffing and mid-Atlantic operations for PrimeFlight Aviation Services and as manager of national partnerships for the U.S. Department of Labor.
Weil earned a bachelor’s degree in political science from Stanford University and a master’s degree in education from The George Washington University.
