ST. LOUIS — Ascension Living, a St. Louis-based operator with communities in 11 states, has promoted Ryan Endsley to chief operating officer. Endsley assumes the position previously held by Danny Stricker, who was chosen to lead Ascension’s new Post-Acute Services Division.
In his new role, Endsley will direct the operational and clinical integration of post-acute services across Ascension Living’s 54 communities. Endsley will work closely with Ascension market leaders to ensure better collaboration between acute care and post-acute services, with the goal of improving outcomes and lowering the cost of care.
Endsley most recently served as market vice president of operations with the company. He has almost 20 years’ experience in nonprofit and for-profit long-term care settings. His experience includes regional leadership of skilled nursing, assisted living, memory care and independent living communities throughout Missouri and Kansas.
Prior to joining Ascension Living, Endsley served as the first regional director of operations for St. Louis-based Cedarhurst Living. In this regional role, he provided administrative, financial, and regulatory oversight of multiple communities in Missouri and Kansas.
Endsley received his bachelor’s degree in psychology from Missouri State University and his master’s degree in human resource management from Webster University. He is a licensed nursing home administrator and recently served two one-year terms on the Board of Directors for Missouri Health Care Association as the district president. He currently serves on the Board of Directors for LeadingAge Kansas.
