Benchmark Starts Renovations at Community in West Chester, Pennsylvania

WEST CHESTER, Pa. — Benchmark Senior Living has started a multimillion-dollar renovation project at Wellington at Hershey’s Mill, and independent living, personal care, skilled nursing and rehabilitation community in West Chester, approximately 25 miles west of Philadelphia.

Phase One of the project will renovate the performing arts center and hallways. Future phases will upgrade the independent living residences, dining room, auditorium, concierge, reception desk and the common areas.

Recent Census Bureau reports show more than 155,000 Chester County residents are already 55 years or older. About 15.8 percent of the population is age 65 or older, an 18 percent increase since 2012 in Chester County.
