Bethel Homes Acquires, Rebrands CCRC in New York

by Jeff Shaw

VALHALLA, N.Y. — Bethel Homes and Services has acquired Westchester Meadows, a continuing care retirement community (CCRC) in the New York City suburb of Valhalla, for an undisclosed price.

Bethel immediately rebranded the property as The Knolls, a Bethel Community.

The Knolls will offer independent living, “enriched living,” home care and skilled nursing services, all on campus.

Bethel acquired the community out of bankruptcy. Bethel will honor the contracts of existing residents, which ensures that residents keep their homes and expected services without losing the money they invested when they moved in.

Bethel also plans to implement renovations and service improvements to update the community.
