STAMFORD, Conn. — Berkadia has arranged the sale of an 85-unit assisted living and memory care community in Stamford, approximately 30 miles northeast of Manhattan.  Mike Garbers, Cody Tremper, Dave Fasano and Ross Sanders of Berkadia represented the seller, a publicly traded REIT. The undisclosed buyer is based in New England. No price was released.

MERIDEN, Conn. — Senior Living Investment Brokerage (SLIB) has arranged the sale of Miller Memorial Community in Meriden, approximately midway between Hartford and New Haven. The 90-bed skilled nursing community also features 19 cottage-style apartment units. The campus was under nonprofit ownership since its inception. STAMFORD, Conn. — Benchmark Senior Living has taken over operations of the former Sunrise of Stamford, an assisted living and memory care community in Stamford, approximately 25 miles northeast of New York City. The 83-unit community will now be called Benchmark at Stamford.Including the new addition, Benchmark currently operates 65 senior living communities throughout the Northeast, including 20 in Connecticut and eight in Fairfield County. The company offers independent living, assisted living, memory care and respite care.

GLASTONBURY, Conn. — LCB Senior Living has taken over management of The Hearth at Glastonbury in Glastonbury, just southeast of Hartford.  The community will be renamed The Residence at Glastonbury. Further details on the property were not disclosed. HARTFORD, Conn. — Blueprint Healthcare Real Estate Advisors has brokered the sale of three skilled nursing facilities in Connecticut. Totaling 380 beds, the properties are all located in the northeastern suburbs of Hartford. A joint venture owner sold the assets to a regional buyer for an undisclosed price. The buyer plans to focus on operational efficiencies, including addressing staffing efficiencies, as well as investing in capital projects at the facilities.

Richard Swartz, Jay Wagner, Aaron Rosenzweig, Jim Dooley and Jack Griffin represented the seller, Longview Senior Housing, in the transaction. GLASTONBURY, Conn. — Hamister Real Estate Equity Fund III, a private real estate fund sponsored by Hamister Group, has acquired Brookdale Buckingham, a standalone memory care community in Glastonbury, a suburb of Hartford. The community will be renamed Buckingham Heights. The community first opened in 2001 and underwent a full renovation in 2020. The community features 46 units in a 33,640-square-foot building. Buckingham Heights will become the ninth senior living community in the company’s managed portfolio.
