WASHINGTON, D.C. — Capitol Seniors Housing plans to open four new seniors housing communities in 2015, representing an investment of $90 million. Each community features a combination of assisted living and memory care residences.

KATY, Texas — Satterfield & Pontikes Construction has been selected by Medistar Corporation to construct an 80-bed skilled nursing facility at Katy Fort Bend Road and Colonial Parkway in far west Harris County. Work on the 60,000-square-foot building is scheduled to begin early this year. Construction is expected to take approximately 11 months.
PEACHTREE CITY, Ga. — Dominion Partners, a developer of senior living properties across the southeast, has two projects underway in Georgia and Florida. Somerby of Peachtree City senior living community in Peachtree City, Ga., was split into two phases of construction. Phase I, currently in lease-up, has 72 assisted living and 24 memory care apartments.
FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. —Housing Trust Group a housing real estate developer in Florida, has completed construction of Village Place Apartments, a $15 million, 112-unit senior affordable housing community in Fort Lauderdale. The mid-rise apartment development is located at 720 NE 4th Avenue.
FORT MYERS, Fla. — Recognizing a need for more assisted living care in southwest Florida, Omega Communities, LLC, has purchased 8.93 acres of land at Six Mile Cypress Parkway just south of Daniels Parkway in Fort Myers for $2.05 million. Omega plans to develop a senior living community on the parcel.
LONGWOOD, Fla. — Orlando-based Roger B. Kennedy, Inc. has broken ground for the new $10.8 million, 123-unit Heritage Village Commons senior housing. The facility is near the same company’s newly started $18.5 million Weston Park at Longwood Station apartments across from Longwood’s SunRail station.
ST. AUGUSTINE, Fla. — Capital Health Group, LLC and Fortress Ventures, LLC have formed a joint venture to develop a 64-bed, market-rate memory care community on 9 acres of land located at 840 State Road 16 in St. Augustine. The land was purchased by the venture in December and the new facility is scheduled to open in the second quarter of 2016.
