SLIB Brokers Sale of 40-Unit Renew Saddle Rock Memory Care in Aurora, Colorado

AURORA, Colo. — Senior Living Investment Brokerage (SLIB) has arranged the sale of Renew Saddle Rock Memory Care in Aurora, approximately 20 miles southeast of Denver. The asset features 40 units and 52 beds and was built in 2015. The property totals 38,585 square feet on approximately 4.7 acres of land. The seller was an out-of-state private equity group with a third-party operator divesting the asset to exit the senior living space. Anthem Appoints Iva Prinsen as Executive Director for Chelsea Place in Aurora, Colorado

AURORA, Colo. — Anthem Memory Care has named Iva Prinsen as executive director for Chelsea Place in Aurora. In this capacity, she will oversee all daily care, programming and operations. Prinsen previously was executive director for Springbrooke Senior Living in Denver. She also served as the licensed nursing home administrator for Azria Health in Blue Hill, Nebraska. Prinsen brings over 35 years of senior living experience to this position. She earned a bachelor’s degree from Stevens-Henager College in Salt Lake City.

ST. PAUL, Minn. — Senior Living Investment Brokerage (SLIB) has arranged the sale of The Alton, a 65-unit memory care community in St. Paul. The community was built in 2008. It totals 52,516 square feet on approximately 0.88 acres of land. The seller was a multifamily owner/developer looking to focus on its market-rate portfolio. OneLife Senior Living Acquires 70-Unit Memory Care Property in Suburban Chicago

VERNON HILLS, Ill. — OneLife Senior Living has acquired the former Springs of Vernon Hills Alzheimer’s Special Care Center in the Chicago suburb of Vernon Hills.  The firm has since rebranded the 70-unit property as The Laurel at Vernon Hills. OneLife retained all 59 staff members, and reviewed and updated benefits, wages and best practices for staffing. OneLife reduced temporary agency staff and increased permanent team members.  The Laurel at Vernon Hills provides memory care services for people with Alzheimer’s and other forms of dementia.

Judge Dismisses All Charges Against Silverado, CEO Shook

LOS ANGELES — A Los Angeles County judge has dismissed all charges against memory care giant Silverado, as well as its CEO Loren Shook and two other executives. Los Angeles County District Attorney George Gascón brought the charges in March, and they were related to 14 COVID-related deaths at Silverado communities. Commonwealth Purchases UVA Health Caton Merchant House in Manassas, Virginia
