SLIB Brokers Sale of 30-Unit Revere Court in Portland, Oregon

PORTLAND, Ore. — Senior Living Investment Brokerage (SLIB) has arranged the sale of Revere Court, a 30-unit memory care community in Portland. The facility was built in 2010 and expanded in 2013. It totals 16,300 square feet on two acres of land, A REIT sold the asset to a local owner-operator for an undisclosed price. The buyer plans to spend money on capital improvements and focus improving occupancy and operations. Alta Acquires Newly Constructed Memory Care Community in North Palm Beach, Florida

PALM BEACH, Fla. — Alta Senior Living has acquired Palm Beach Memory Care, a newly constructed 60-unit memory care community located in North Palm Beach.  The community opened with 20 percent of the units already pre-leased. It is strategically located near Alta Senior Living’s regional office that shares space with restaurant tenant, DeSano Pizza. Dan Baker with JLL arranged the sale. The seller and price were not disclosed.

Anthem Memory Care Appoints Sara Miller as Executive Director of Chisholm Place in Wichita

WICHITA, Kan. — Anthem Memory Care has named Sara Miller as executive director for Chisholm Place in Wichita. She will oversee all daily care, programming and operations. Miller previously was residence director and assistant residence director with Legend Senior Living. She brings over 16 years of healthcare experience to this position.  Miller earned a bachelor’s degree in health services management and community development with a minor in aging studies from Wichita State University.

Blueprint Arranges $9.3M Receivership Sale of Springs of Vernon Hills in Illinois

VERNON HILLS, Ill. — Blueprint Healthcare Real Estate Advisors has brokered the $9.3 million sale of Springs of Vernon Hills in Vernon Hills, a northern suburb of Chicago. The standalone memory care community was built in 2015 and features 70 units. The seller was The Long Hill Company, a nationally focused turnaround management firm serving as the court-appointed receiver for the property. After falling to 58 percent occupied in 2021 following Illinois’ strict COVID-19 lockdowns, the community was placed into receivership. LANSING, Mich., and BEAVERCREEK, Ohio — Senior Living Investment Brokerage (SLIB) has arranged the sale of two memory care communities totaling 100 units and 132 beds in the Midwest. Located in Lansing and Beavercreek, both communities were built in 2018 and each total approximately 34,500 square feet on 4.9 acres of land. CareTrust REIT Acquires Two Illinois Memory Care Facilities with New Operator Relationship

CHICAGO — CareTrust REIT Inc. (NYSE: CTRE) has acquired a 136-unit, two-facility memory care portfolio located in metro Chicago. Chapters Living will take over operations at the community, which is a new relationship for CareTrust. Chapters Living is a seniors housing and memory care operator based in the Midwest led by industry veteran Danny Stricker. The two properties will be placed in a 15-year, triple-net lease.
