SACRAMENTO — Cogir Senior Living, a Sacramento-based owner-operator, has hired Gottfried Ernst as chief operating officer.  Ernst joins the Cogir team from Discovery Senior Living Management LLC. He brings more than 20 years of experience within the hospitality and senior living industries and held prior executive leadership roles at Brookdale Senior Living, Harbor Retirement Associates and Green Courte Partners LLC. He was inducted into Brookdale’s President Circle in 2005 and helped develop and implement several Argentum award-winning programs.

DES MOINES, Iowa — LCS, the nation’s third-largest senior living provider, has promoted David Mercugliano to vice president of business development. In his new role, he will lead business development initiatives to expand management and development opportunities that grow top-line revenue for the Des Moines-based LCS Family of Companies. AURORA, Colo. — Anthem Memory Care has named Iva Prinsen as executive director for Chelsea Place in Aurora. In this capacity, she will oversee all daily care, programming and operations. Prinsen previously was executive director for Springbrooke Senior Living in Denver. She also served as the licensed nursing home administrator for Azria Health in Blue Hill, Nebraska. Prinsen brings over 35 years of senior living experience to this position. She earned a bachelor’s degree from Stevens-Henager College in Salt Lake City.
