CHICAGO — Charter Senior Living, a Chicago-based operator, has made two changes at its corporate office. Jayne Sallerson has been named chief operating officer while Carol Simbeya was named corporate director of sales.
Sallerson joined the company as an investor, partner and chief sales & strategy officer in late 2017. Over a 20-year career she has served in various senior management roles for both large and small senior care organizations, developing sales and marketing strategies and infrastructure.
Before joining Charter, Sallerson served as executive vice president of sales for Benchmark Senior Living, COO of SherpaCRM, and executive vice president of sales and marketing for Emeritus Senior Living prior to the Brookdale merger.
Meanwhile, Simbeya most recently served as senior regional sales and marketing director for Brookdale Senior Living. She first joined Brookdale in a community sales role and was rapidly promoted to a national sales specialist, where she traveled nationwide to independent living, assisted living and memory care communities, quickly growing occupancy and revenue in each location.
Simbeya earned her master’s degree in business administration with a concentration in healthcare administration and management from Cleveland State University. She earned her bachelor’s degree in business administration from Ursuline College.
