LIBERTY, Mo. — Action Pact, Liberty Hospital and Healthy Living Centers of America, the developers of Norterre, have hired Melissa O’Hara as chief operating officer of the seniors housing community.
Norterre is a $66 million, 140-unit community currently under construction in the Kansas City suburb of Liberty.
O’Hara joins Norterre from New Jersey, where she worked in all facets of senior healthcare administration, including managing rehabilitation departments, speech pathology, and as both vice president of operations and director of operations.
O’Hara earned a bachelor’s degree in speech disorders and audiology, communications, and psychology from Montclair State University, as well as a master’s degree from Columbia University where she studied communications, speech and language disorders.
Norterre aims to be a “multi-generational” community, and will center around its Healthy Living Center, which is open to adults of all ages. The first phase is scheduled to open in summer 2017.
