JERICHO, N.Y. — Engel Burman has opened Encore Luxury Living, a seniors housing community in the Long Island hamlet of Jericho.

The property offers active adult living, with rents starting at $8,400 per month. Housekeeping and maintenance are included in the rent. The location is across the street from a library and a Whole Foods-anchored shopping center.

The community features 59 one-bedroom units, 42 two-bedroom units and one three-bedroom unit. Unit sizes range from 826 to 1,500 square feet.

The property will share a campus with Engel Burman’s existing assisted living community The Bristal at Jericho. Of the 18-acre site, approximately eight acres were given to the town for open space preservation. Encore totals 160,000 square feet and The Bristal totals 200,000 square feet.

“Many residents will choose to live at Encore Luxury Living year round, others will split their time between Long Island and their warm-weather homes,” says Steven Krieger, principal at Engel Burman.

Engel Burman is a privately owned real estate firm that has developed over 10 million square feet of commercial and residential property with a market value over $3 billion. The company’s portfolio includes more than 5,000 multifamily and senior living units and over 20 assisted living communities, mostly under the brand names The Bristal and The Seasons.
