TAMPA, Fla. — Greystone Healthcare Management, a Tampa-based operator of 28 skilled nursing facilities in Florida, has hired Stephanie Handelson as the company’s new CEO. Handelson succeeds Gerry Jenich, who served as interim CEO since February 2018.
Prior to joining Greystone, Handelson was president and chief operating officer of Benchmark Senior Living. Before her eight years at Benchmark, she served as senior vice president for East Coast operations of Sunrise Senior Living, a large, national senior living provider, overseeing over 200 communities.
“With a strategic plan to continue expansion into new markets and broaden the reach of the Greystone Health Network, Stephanie’s specialized background in managing a large system of communities will be invaluable to the organization,” says Steve Rosenberg, founder of Greystone, the New York City finance and investment firm and Greystone Healthcare Management’s parent company.
Handelson is a former member of the National Investment Center for Seniors Housing & Care (NIC) Operator Advisory Board, has served on the board of Argentum for three terms, and is a member of the American Seniors Housing Association (ASHA) and Senior Living 100 Advisory Board.
Handelson holds an M.B.A. from Dowling College in Oakdale, New York, and a bachelor’s degree in hospitality from New York Institute of Technology.
