VERO BEACH, Fla. — Harbor Retirement Associates (HRA), a Vero Beach-based owner-operator, has hired Karin Bateman as its new chief operating officer.
With 30 years of operating, management, and development experience in the seniors housing industry, Bateman will manage the operations of 37 HarborChase-branded communities in 14 states, with additional communities in the planning stages.
Prior to joining HRA, Bateman served in executive director, director of sales and marketing, and operations roles. Most recently, she served as senior vice president of Operations for Senior Lifestyle Corp. for 10 years. During this tenure, she oversaw the operations of up to 60 communities spanning the entire country. In 2017, she solely supported the new development operations efforts at Senior Lifestyle, successfully opening over 25 communities.
