CHARLESTON, S.C. — Harmony Senior Services, a Charleston-based operator, has hired Steve Martin as chief operations officer and Margaret Cabell as chief sales and marketing officer.
Martin has 33 years of experience in seniors housing. He started in skilled nursing and moved into assisted living in 1993, working with major senior living organizations such as Atria, Merrill Gardens and Horizon Bay. Most recently he spent 19 years with Brookdale Senior Living as the senior vice president of regional operations with oversight of 90 communities in Florida and Georgia.
Martin earned a bachelor’s degree in long-term care administration from Southern Adventist University, which was the first accredited program in the United States.
Cabell is a 15-year veteran in the senior living industry. She started her professional career as a programs director with American Retirement Corp. and served several years as an executive director. She was promoted through Brookdale to regional director of operations, regional director of sales, divisional director of sales and most recently to divisional vice president of sales and marketing.
Cabell has led the sales and marketing efforts for over 240 communities of all product types and styles in multiple markets through the southeast and Texas.
Cabell has an undergraduate degree from The College of William and Mary and a graduate degree from George Washington University.
