AUSTIN, Texas — Ryan Cos. US Inc., Grand Living and Castletop Capital have unveiled plans for Grand Living at The Grove, a 260,000-square-foot seniors housing community in The Grove, a mixed-use project near the Oakmont Heights neighborhood of Austin.
The community will feature 186 independent and assisted living units, as well as a 34-unit memory care wing.
The project will be the fourth Grand Living community in Texas. A groundbreaking ceremony is planned for summer 2022.
“The Grove is the ideal location for Austin’s senior population with its dining and entertainment options,” says Hunter Barrier, South Central regional president with Ryan Cos.
Ryan is the co-developer and design-builder, Castletop Capital is the master plan developer and Grand Living will operate the community upon completion.
“The Grove master plan is centered around creating a vibrant gathering place for people in a mixed-use environment,” says Alan Topfer, co-founder and managing director of Castletop Capital. “I am very excited to add this senior living community to the existing mix of apartments that are now leasing; office buildings, which are already 85 percent leased; and restaurants, fitness center, grocery and liquor store, nail salon and day spa services that have already signed leases.”
