DES MOINES, Iowa — The LCS Foundation, a nonprofit charitable organization supporting the senior living industry, has named Elisa Baptiste as its new board president.
Baptiste succeeds the LCS Foundation’s founder and former LCS CEO, Ed Kenny, who has served as board president since 2017. Kenny will continue to serve as a member of the board.
Baptiste has served on the LCS Foundation board since 2017 and has served as the chair of the Emergency Relief Fund Committee. She is currently the senior vice president and chief operating officer for Care Purchasing Services, An LCS Company. Baptiste will serve a two-year term as board president.
Kenny and his wife Sue created the Foundation following his career as CEO of LCS, a Des Moines-based developer, owner and operator of seniors housing.
Since its inception in 2017, the LCS Foundation has donated more than $680,000 to benefit the Alzheimer’s Association, provided over $440,000 in emergency relief funds to community-based employees, and awarded more than $441,000 for scholarships and professional development programs for those who aspire to work in the senior living industry.
Other appointments named to three-year board terms include:
- Zane Bennett, director, business development
- Rick Exline, executive vice president and senior managing director of life plan communities
- Kent Kalmey, director, operations management
- Traci McBee, director, corporate communications
