CULPEPER, Va. — LifeSpire of Virginia has scheduled a May 10 grand opening for expansion of The Cupeper, a seniors housing community in Culpeper, approximately 65 miles southwest of Washington, D.C.
Jim Jacobsen is executive director of the community. The redevelopment project will open its doors exactly two years from its groundbreaking. Development costs were estimated at $33.5 million for the 125,000-square-foot development.
The new building replaces an original brick structure built in the1940s and faces the Blue Ridge Mountains. Residents in the current building will transition to the new building in April. Further details on the community were not released.
