WILMINGTON, N.C. — Live Oak Bank, a Wilmington-based lender, as hired Chad Borst to work with the company’s seniors housing team.
Before Live Oak, Borst spent two years building out a real estate investment and asset management program at BM Eagle Holdings. Previously, he worked at Welltower, where he most recently served as a vice president of investments and led a relationship investment team with over 200 facilities and total Welltower investments of $4.3 billion. His responsibilities included investment management, capital activities, asset management and transactional underwriting.
Borst has also worked in different roles on each side of the transaction: seniors housing investment sales with Eastdil Secured and VantAge Pointe, acquisitions for the largest seniors housing operator with Brookdale, and debt underwriting for the largest middle-market healthcare lender at GE Capital Healthcare Financial Services.
Borst holds a bachelor’s degree in finance from The University of North Carolina Wilmington.
