OZ Architecture Designs 176-Unit Active Adult Community in Denver

by Jeff Shaw

DENVER —OZ Architecture has completed the design of Airie, a 308,000-square-foot active adult community to be built in Denver.

The five-story, 176-unit community will sit on 18.2 acres adjacent to Windsor Lake. While residents at Airie must be over age 55, the property is located within the all-ages TAVA Waters apartment community, which the developers hope will encourage intergenerational activities.

TAVA Waters and Airie are located within Denver’s affluent Cherry Creek neighborhood.

“It’s incredibly rare to get a project with a waterfront site in Colorado, especially for older adult housing,” notes Jami Mohlenkamp, principal and head of the senior living team at OZ Architecture.

Airie is scheduled to open in fourth-quarter 2020.
