Pennrose Hires Christine Robertson as Developer in Mid-Atlantic Region

BALTIMORE — Pennrose has hired Christine Robertson to the company’s Baltimore office as a developer serving the Mid-Atlantic region. In her role, Robertson will focus on growing Pennrose’s Virginia portfolio.

Pennrose is a multifamily developer with a specialization in affordable housing, including seniors housing.

Robertson joins Pennrose with 25 years of experience in the affordable housing industry, working with both for-profit and non-profit developers. In previous development roles, including her last position as vice president of Bywater Development Group, she spearheaded the creation or preservation of affordable and mixed-income developments across the South and Midwest.

Robertson brings a breadth of experience in budgeting predevelopment expenses, preparing applications for financing or funding, and managing awarded tax credits and transactions through closing.

Robertson has served as portfolio restructuring manager with the Ohio Housing Finance Agency, where she managed the financial restructuring of project-based Section 8 properties. She also worked as program director for the Local Initiatives Support Corp. (LISC) Gulf Region Rebuilding Initiative, providing predevelopment, acquisition, and construction loans to developers rebuilding after the 2005 hurricanes. 

Robertson graduated from Virginia Tech with a bachelor’s degree in urban affairs with a minor in English. She previously served on the Ohio Housing Council Board of Directors Executive Committee and as chair of the Louisiana Housing Trust Fund Advisory Committee. She is a Certified Housing Finance Professional with the National Development Council.
