ALEXANDRIA, Va. — The Senior Living Certification Commission (SLCC) has elected Brenda Bacon, president and CEO of Brandywine Living, as the new chairman of the SLCC Board of Commissioners.

Bacon co-founded Brandywine Living in 1996, growing the company to 29 communities across six states since that time, with more currently under development. Florio from 1989 to 1993.

Additionally, Christy Contardi Stone, senior vice president of human capital and strategic initiatives at Welltower, was elected to serve as secretary-treasurer. Two new commissioners were also elected to join the board: David Eskenazy, president, Merrill Gardens; and Stephanie Handelson, CEO, Harmony Senior Services.
