ADDISON, Texas — The board of directors of Senior Quality Lifestyles Corporation (SQLC) has appointed Joe Anderson as the company’s new president and CEO.
In addition to overseeing SQLC’s six seniors housing communities, Anderson will lead Seniority Inc., a wholly owned operations, sales, marketing and consulting subsidiary. SQLC acquired Seniority earlier this year, and the subsidiary operates all SQLC communities, among others.
Anderson will step down as chairman of the board, where he’s served since 2013, to accept the new position. He will remain an ex-officio member of the board, while Scott Collier will be the new chairman. Collier, a managing partner with JLL Dallas, has served on the board since 2014, including as vice chairman. Anderson remains chairman of the SQLC Foundation, the company’s charitable subsidiary.
Bernie Francis was named vice chairman of the board, filling Collier’s position. Serving on the board since 2002, Francis is the owner of Business Control Systems and First-Class Caregivers Inc.
Based in Addison, SQLC is a nonprofit owner and operator of five continuing care retirement communities in Texas and one in Indiana. Through third-party management contracts, Seniority Inc. also operates communities in California and Oklahoma.
