Sparrow Partners to Build Two Active Adult Communities in Henderson, Nevada

HENDERSON, Nev. — Sparrow Partners has unveiled plans for its first two active adult communities in the Las Vegas area: the 173-unit Mera Rhodes Ranch and 189-unit Mera Henderson.

Both located in the first-ring suburb of Henderson, the communities are under construction and scheduled to open in mid-2022.

“Las Vegas has one of the fastest growing populations of older adults in the nation, including many healthy seniors who no longer want to own a high-maintenance home but don’t yet need expensive support services,” says Jeff Patterson, co-founder of Sparrow Partners. “Our communities provide moderately-priced, high-quality apartments for baby boomers who want to live among their peers in an environment that offers ample opportunities to socialize, make friends and regularly engage in a broad range of activities and hobbies.”

The one-and-two-bedroom apartments in both developments will range in size from approximately 600 to 1,300 square feet and are expected to rent for between approximately $1,300 and $2,800 a month, compared with the $3,238 average monthly cost of an assisted living facility in Nevada, according to SeniorCare.com.

Founded in 2017, Sparrow Partners has opened 10 similar communities nationwide over the last three years and has an additional 16 under development in Arizona, Florida, Oklahoma and Texas. Its subsidiary Sparrow Living will manage the properties.
