CHICAGO — Seniors housing REIT Ventas Inc. (NYSE: VTR) has promoted Christian Cummings and Nicholas Jacoby to senior vice president positions in its asset management business.
The promotions are part of the Chicago-based company’s realignment following its decision to spinoff its skilled nursing portfolio into a standalone business, Care Capital Properties Inc. (NYSE: CCP).
Cummings was promoted to senior vice president of asset management focusing on Ventas’ seniors housing operating portfolio (SHOP). He joined Ventas in 2002 as an analyst and has held various roles since then. Most recently he was vice president of asset management, a position he held since 2007. He earned his M.B.A. from the University of Louisville, where he also earned a B.A. in history.
Jacoby was promoted to senior vice president of asset management focusing on Ventas’ triple net leased assets. Since 2012, he has been a vice president of asset management. Jacoby joined the company in 2005 as a financial analyst and has held various roles since then. Nick earned both an M.B.A. and a bachelor’s degree in business administration with a focus in accounting from the University of Louisville.
Ventas is one of the largest owners of seniors housing properties in the U.S. with a portfolio of nearly 1,300 communities in the U.S, U.K. and Canada.
