COLUMBUS, Ohio — VIUM Capital, a Columbus-based capital provider for seniors housing, has hired Scott Tittle as a managing director and the firm’s first head of government relations and external affairs.
Tittle was most recently an executive director with The National Center for Assisted Living (NCAL), a position he served for six years. He will start in his new position on Sep. 7.
A licensed attorney, Tittle brings over 15 years of experience guiding assisted living and skilled nursing operators with their regulatory, reimbursement and advocacy needs. Prior to his current role as head of NCAL, Tittle was president of the Indiana Health Care Association/Indiana Center for Assisted Living (IHCA/INCAL), a healthcare lawyer and lobbyist with the law firm Krieg DeVault LLP, and special counsel and health policy director to Indiana Governor Mitch Daniels.
“We got to know Scott well when he was leading IHCA/INCAL,” says Steve Kennedy, co-founder of VIUM. “He led an impressive turnaround there in Indiana as a leading advocate for the profession and then furthered industry-wide goals and strategic initiatives for the sector in Washington, D.C. in his role at NCAL. Several of us have worked closely with Scott over the years in advocating for affordable assisted living, strengthening FHA/HUD and other critical industry initiatives.”
VIUM, a national lender serving the seniors housing and healthcare space, launched just over a year ago. The company provides bank-bridge capital and permanent financing through FHA/HUD, FNMA and Freddie Mac-backed loans, among other products. VIUM has already closed nearly $1 billion of financing to the sector.
