Watercrest Hires Riane Bernard as Regional Director of Clinical Operations, Promotes Jessica Desjarlais to Family Office Manager

VERO BEACH, Fla. — Watercrest Senior Living Group, a Vero Beach-based owner operator, has hired Riane Bernard as regional director of clinical operations and internally promoted Jessica Desjarlais to family office manager.

Bernard has served the senior living industry for 17 years. She began her career as a CNA in long-term care before earning her nursing degree and later serving as director of health and wellness in assisted living. She most recently served as clinical specialist for more than 25 seniors housing communities

In her new position, Bernard plans to ensure Watercrest’s standards of care, programming and associate training are met for the clinical teams of all Watercrest senior living communities.

In her new role, Desjarlais will oversee office systems, procedures and guidelines to improve efficiency in the company’s head office, while ensuring coordination with all of the senior living communities owned and operated by Watercrest. Additionally, she supports human resources in recruitment, administration and onboarding, while leading local job fairs.

Desjarlais brings nearly 10 years of customer service and healthcare related experience to Watercrest, including the completion of two associate’s degrees and her CNA certification. She first joined the Watercrest St. Lucie West team as concierge before being recruited to the head office in Vero Beach. She is currently pursuing her bachelor’s degree in healthcare management.
