TAMPA, Fla. — WoodBine Senior Living, a Tampa-based owner-operator, has announced a series of leadership changes. Donna LaRotonda, Chris Behm and Daryl McCombs are the new owners and managing partners of the company.
Co-founders and former managing partners, Gloria Brock and Steve Gaylor, are taking on strategic advisory roles while also serving as director of sales and director of development, respectively.
LaRotonda is a nine-year employee of WoodBine, having most recently served as senior executive director of Spring Village at Galloway. She has more than two decades of marketing and management experience in senior living, hospitality, and construction.
Behm is an eight-year employee of WoodBine, having served as regional director of operations and most recently as senior executive director of Spring Village at Stratford. He has more than a decade of experience in operations and management.
McCombs is a seven-year employee of WoodBine and a 20-year advisor to the company, having most recently served as partner and chief investment officer. He has almost 30 years of experience in the real estate and finance aspects of senior living.
LaRotonda, a certified assisted living administrator and certified dementia practitioner, will be based in New Jersey and oversee communities in New Jersey and Pennsylvania. She has more than 20 years of hospitality and senior living experience and was a charter member of the Borgata Hotel Casino and Spa where she achieved membership in Les Clefs D’or USA, one of the most prestigious hotel organizations in the world.
While he will be based in the Philadelphia area, Behm will oversee WoodBine communities in New Hampshire and Connecticut. He is a seasoned relationship executive focused on delivering revenue growth, penetrating new markets, and building strategic teams. In addition to overseeing the daily operations for multiple communities in New England and the Northeast, he will develop new venture opportunities and cultivate talent within WoodBine.
Based in Tampa, McCombs will continue overseeing the company’s real estate, finance and accounting functions. Over the past 30 years, he has been involved in the acquisition, development or financing of more than $2 billion in seniors housing and healthcare properties. Prior to WoodBine, his experience included positions with commercial, mortgage and investment banks as well as publicly traded and non-traded REITs.
