WALTHAM, Mass. — EPOCH Senior Living, a Waltham-based operator, has hired Michael Toce as the organization’s vice president of wellness services.
Toce brings more than 15 years of senior living leadership experience to his new role. Most recently, he served as senior corporate director of care for a group of multi-state senior living communities in New England, New Jersey and Pennsylvania. He was responsible for regulatory compliance, quality management techniques and resident safety. Prior to that, he served as an administrator for Yale University School of Medicine.
Toce also worked on continued research in collaboration with React Neuro. They are known for research studies tracking concussions in professional athletes, including players for the New England Patriots football team. Currently, their study is being used to trace minute changes occurring in the brain, early-onset memory loss and other forms of dementia.
In his new role, Toce will be responsible for managing and coordinating clinical outcomes, policies and procedures. In addition, he’ll develop and implement education, training and peer reviews to ensure quality of care and regulatory compliance for the company’s 16 senior living communities located throughout Massachusetts, Connecticut, New Hampshire and New York.
Toce received his MBA from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, master’s degree in health administration from Tulane University, and associate degree in nursing and registered nursing degree from Quinnipiac University.
