SKOKIE, Ill. — Tony Galvan has joined Covenant Living Communities and Services as vice president of resident experience. Covenant is a non-profit, faith-based senior living organization. In this new role, Galvan is responsible for working with the organization’s 20 communities in all areas impacting resident life, ranging from wellness initiatives to lifestyle programming and more.
While Covenant has always placed a strong emphasis on enhancing the resident experience, this is the first leadership position to spearhead those efforts under the umbrella of operations, according to the organization.
Galvan has more than 20 years of experience in senior living. Over the course of his career, he has managed wellness programs; developed and executed post-acute and care coordination strategies; leveraged tech-based solutions; and developed and implemented signature programming for memory care residents and lifestyle programming unique to the brand of a senior living organization.
Galvan previously worked for Vi, Life Care Services and Monarch Landing, while maintaining an industry presence with involvement in organizations such as LeadingAge, Argentum, the International Council on Active Aging and the Alzheimer’s Association.
He earned his bachelor’s and master’s degrees in kinesiology, the scientific study of human movement, from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
