Aman Living Completes First Phase of Multicultural Community in Illinois

HANOVER PARK, Ill. — Aman Living will hold a grand opening on July 14 for the clubhouse at Verandah Senior Living, a seniors housing community in Hanover Park, approximately 30 miles west of Chicago.

The opening marks the completion of Phase I of the community’s development. According to the developer, the asset will be the Midwest’s first multicultural retirement community designed to celebrate a variety of ethnic lifestyles, such as Indian, American and Asian through a fusion of cuisine, activities, entertainment, traditions and cultures for seniors of all backgrounds.

Upon full build-out, Verandah Senior Living will feature 55 townhomes, 72 condominiums, and an 80-bed facility with 68 assisted living units and 12 memory care studios.

The 4,500-square-foot clubhouse will offer amenities to the community, and to residents upon first move-ins in September.

“Loneliness is a huge problem for seniors, so we wanted to make sure our residents would have a place where they would feel at home from day one and be able to socialize with their new neighbors,” says Dr. Anuja Gupta, principal and managing partner of Aman Living.

As development of the community progresses, the Phase 1 clubhouse will eventually be replaced with a larger clubhouse that will be located in Verandah’s condominium and medical building. The permanent clubhouse will include the same features of the Phase 1 clubhouse, as well as a movie theater, beauty salon and library.
