The apartments are reserved for those age 62 and older. The community features 13,000 square feet of amenity space. Designed by Meeks + Partners, the property incorporates a total of 146 apartments across six two- and three-story buildings.

FAIRMONT, Minn. — Lakeview Methodist Health Care Services has started construction of a 72-bed skilled nursing facility in Fairmont, located in the southern part of Minnesota near the Iowa border. Wold Architects designed the two-story, 86,000-square-foot property, which Kraus-Anderson Construction will build. Development costs were estimated at $24 million. Construction is slated for completion by fall 2021.

ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. — Colliers International has arranged the sale of Loving Care of Saint Petersburg in the Tampa suburb of St. Petersburg. The property features 120 beds across 60 units. The assisted living facility has a limited mental health specialty license. Best Care Senior Living at St. Pete acquired the property from Loving Care of St Petersburg for an undisclosed price. The community was 80 percent occupied at the time of sale. Kenneth and Damien Carriero of Colliers arranged the transaction.

HAZEL CREST, Ill. — Charter Senior Living has acquired Citadel Estates, an assisted living and memory care community in Hazel Crest, approximately 20 miles south of Chicago. The buyer has renamed the community Charter Senior Living of Hazel Crest. MARANA, Ariz. — Cadence Living has been appointed manager at La Sonora at Dove Mountain, a 142-unit independent living, assisted living and memory community in Marana, located in the Dove Mountain area north of Tucson. The community is located on a six-acre campus near restaurants, healthcare services and the Ritz Carlton hotel. Mountain Plains Equity Group and Senior Living Fund own the property, which is scheduled to open in October.

TRINITY, Florida — Cushman & Wakefield’s Tampa-based Senior Housing Team has arranged the sale of The Watermark at Trinity in the Tampa suburb of Trinity. Kayne Anderson Real Estate acquired the community for an undisclosed price. The operator, Watermark Retirement Communities, will continue to manage the property. LIBERTY, Mo. — Blueprint Healthcare Real Estate Advisors has negotiated the lease with a new operator for Ashton Court Care and Rehabilitation Centre in the Kansas City suburb of Liberty. The property features a total of 140 skilled nursing beds. The operator sought to exit the state of Missouri to focus on its core markets. The incoming tenant has worked with Blueprint to become operator at 15 other facilities previously, and is strategically expanding within Missouri. The landlord is a REIT.

KENTUCKY and NORTH CAROLINA — Monticello has provided a $2.5 million working capital loan to the operating companies of three skilled nursing facilities totaling 312 beds in Kentucky and North Carolina. Monticello’s asset-based lending group, Monticello Commercial Capital, provided the funds. The borrower is an experienced owner and operator with a current portfolio of 8,752 licensed beds. Prior to this deal, Monticello financed the acquisition of several facilities in 2018 and 2019 for the company.
