BONITA SPRINGS, Fla. — Discovery Senior Living has hired Bill Sciortino as its new chief operating officer (COO). In this position, Sciortino will lead and focus continuing efforts to drive innovation and deliver a more customized, resident-centric lifestyle experience, according to the company. This hire supports Bonita Springs-based Discovery Senior Living’s ongoing growth and expansion opportunities, which will continue to enhance lifestyle and care services for its residents.

Sciortino’s experience in planning and allocating capital spending to enhance residents’ experiences and satisfaction will be integral as Discovery Senior Living aggressively aims to create optionality and deep personalization of resident experience across the company’s growing community portfolio. Currently, Discovery Senior Living’s portfolio includes 62 communities across 14 states.
Sciortino worked for 18 years at Chicago-based Vi Living in various senior leadership roles, including COO beginning in 2017.
