Among them were drives to offer data on the widespread effects of the industry, ease the burden of hiring and labor issues on operators, and make improvements in food safety and training.

SAN ANTONIO — Argentum, a seniors housing advocacy group, has elected six new directors to its board, as well as announced a new initiative to celebrate the accomplishments of women leaders in seniors housing. The announcements were made at Argentum’s annual conference, being held this year in San Antonio.
NEWTON, Mass. — Publicly traded REIT Seniors Housing Properties Trust (NASDAQ: SNH) and publicly traded operator Five Star Senior Living (NASDAQ: FVE) have restructured their business relationships regarding the 261 seniors housing properties owned by SNH and operated by FVE. Both companies are based in the Boston suburb of Newton.
MIAMI and HOUSTON — Baptist Health South Florida, a Miami-based nonprofit healthcare organization, and Belmont Village Senior Living, a Houston-based seniors housing owner-operator, have created a joint venture to develop new seniors housing properties in South Florida.
