LCS Nears Completion of The Delaney at The Vale in Woburn, Massachusetts

WOBURN, Mass. — Life Care Services (LCS) has announced a summer 2023 opening for The Delaney at The Vale, an independent living, assisted living and memory care community in the Boston suburb of Woburn. Boston-based architect DiMella Shaffer designed the community. The number of units and development costs were not disclosed. The Delaney is part of The Vale, the master-planned redevelopment of the former Kraft Atlantic Gelatin Facility, which closed in 2015. Spellman Brady Completes Interior Design for Memory Care Expansion in Shrewsberry, Missouri

SHREWSBERRY, Mo. — Spellman Brady & Co. has completed the interior design for the addition to Our Mother of Perpetual Help Memory Care on the Cardinal Ritter Senior Service’s Shrewsberry campus. The single-story memory care addition has two wings consisting of 13 private units each. A small-home concept guided the overall design to create a residential home-like, non-institutional setting for residents. Spellman Brady collaborated with Vessel Architecture, which developed the building addition, and BSI Constructors, the general contractor for the project.

Perkins Eastman Hires Drew Roskos to Senior Living Team

CHICAGO — Design firm Perkins Eastman has hired Drew Roskos as an associate principal in its Chicago studio. With 19 years of experience, Roskos specializes in the design of senior living communities. He has received the American Institute of Architects Design for Aging Fellowship in 2021 and was named Design Champion by Environments for Aging in 2020. Roskos earned a bachelor’s degree in architecture from the New Jersey Institute of Technology and a master’s degree in gerontology from Concordia University Chicago.

WELLINGTON, Fla. — Liberty Senior Living has completed construction of Wellington Bay, a seniors housing community in the South Florida village of Wellington. The property offers independent living apartments, garden flats and villas, as well as Lisbet Health Center, which offers assisted living and memory care services. The community is located on 40 acres and includes a 65,000-square-foot clubhouse. ALAMEDA, Calif. — The Alameda Housing Authority (AHA) has received $20.6 million from the State of California Department of Housing and Community Development.
