WOBURN, Mass. — Life Care Services (LCS) has announced a summer 2023 opening for The Delaney at The Vale, an independent living, assisted living and memory care community in the Boston suburb of Woburn. Boston-based architect DiMella Shaffer designed the community. The number of units and development costs were not disclosed. SHREWSBERRY, Mo. — Spellman Brady & Co. has completed the interior design for the addition to Our Mother of Perpetual Help Memory Care on the Cardinal Ritter Senior Service’s Shrewsberry campus. The single-story memory care addition has two wings consisting of 13 private units each. A small-home concept guided the overall design to create a residential home-like, non-institutional setting for residents. Spellman Brady collaborated with Vessel Architecture, which developed the building addition, and BSI Constructors, the general contractor for the project.

CHICAGO — Design firm Perkins Eastman has hired Drew Roskos as an associate principal in its Chicago studio. With 19 years of experience, Roskos specializes in the design of senior living communities. He has received the American Institute of Architects Design for Aging Fellowship in 2021 and was named Design Champion by Environments for Aging in 2020. Roskos earned a bachelor’s degree in architecture from the New Jersey Institute of Technology and a master’s degree in gerontology from Concordia University Chicago.

The property offers independent living apartments, garden flats and villas, as well as Lisbet Health Center, which offers assisted living and memory care services. The funds will support development of North Housing Senior Apartments, an affordable housing community in the island city, located just south of Oakland in San Francisco Bay.
