In this position, DeShon is responsible for the overall sales and marketing of nine communities in Ohio, Michigan, Minnesota, Washington and Utah. DeShon previously was regional director of sales and marketing with Wallick Communities in New Albany, Ohio. He also served in that position with Clearwater Living in Newport Beach, California. JLL Arranges $21.5M Financing for Bay Area Memory Care Portfolio

SUNNYVALE and MENLO PARK, Calif. — JLL Capital Markets has arranged a $21.5 million loan for two memory care communities totaling 48 units in California’s Bay Area. The portfolio includes Crescent Oaks in Sunnyvale and Silver Oaks in Menlo Park. JLL worked on behalf of the borrower, Calson Management, to secure an 18-month, fixed-rate loan through Thorofare Capital. Crescent Oaks offers 22 one- and two-bed units with a total of 33 beds. Originally built in 2010, Richmond Meadows is licensed for 40 beds covering across a 24,600-square-foot community. Cushman & Wakefield Negotiates Sale of Four Memory Care Communities in Metro Houston

HOUSTON — Cushman & Wakefield’s National Senior Housing Capital Markets team has arranged the sale of a 152-unit portfolio containing four standalone memory care communities in the Houston metro area. Cushman & Wakefield’s Rick Swartz, Jay Wagner, Aaron Rosenzweig, Jim Dooley and Chris Remeika represented the seller, Healthcare Trust Inc., in the transaction. McFarlin Group, a Dallas-based private equity firm, acquired the portfolio in an all-cash deal. The price was not disclosed. Blueprint Brokers $11M Sale of Regent Court Memory Care Community in Corvallis, Oregon

CORVALLIS, Ore. — Blueprint Healthcare Real Estate Advisors has arranged the sale of Regent Court Senior Living, a 32-unit memory care community in Corvallis. Summit Healthcare REIT Inc. sold the asset to a regional owner-operator for $11 million, or $344,000 per unit. Further details were not disclosed.

1031 Crowdfunding Acquires Memory Care Portfolio as Opportunity Fund Reaches Full Subscription

IRVINE, Calif. — 1031 Crowdfunding, an Irvine-based real estate investing platform, has fully subscribed its $16.9 million 1031CF Portfolio 1 DST. This is the company’s sixth investment in senior living care facilities. The fund was used to acquire two memory care communities. Iris Senior Living is the operator of both properties, which are located in the Dallas-Fort Worth and Oklahoma City metro areas.
