MASON CITY, Iowa — Evans Senior Investments (ESI) has arranged the sale of Country Meadow Place, a 56-unit assisted living and memory care community in Mason City, approximately midway between Des Moines and Minneapolis. DAYTON, Ohio — Blueprint Healthcare Real Estate Advisors has brokered the sale of The Oaks of West Kittering, a skilled nursing facility in Dayton. The community was built in 1973 and features 118 licensed beds. A regional owner-operator sold the property as part of its shift to other asset classes. Highmark Senior Living Assumes Management of Edencrest Communities throughout Central Iowa
WEST DES MOINES, Iowa — Highmark Senior Living, a Hubbell Realty Co. affiliate, has taken over management of a portfolio of Edencrest senior living communities throughout Iowa. Edencrest communities offer studio, one-bedroom and two-bedroom units. Highmark Senior Living manages six communities with more than 290 residents and roughly 235 employees throughout Iowa. Edencrest communities include: Edencrest at Beaverdale, Edencrest at Green Meadows, Edencrest at The Legacy, Edencrest at Riverwoods, Edencrest at Siena Hills, Edencrest at Timberline, and Edencrest at Tuscany.

Hart’s career journey includes roles as a business office manager in memory care and assisted living, advancing to human resources director at a skilled nursing facility, and subsequently serving as associate executive director at a Brookdale Senior Living community. Hart received an undergraduate degree in human resource management and an MBA in business administration from the University of Phoenix, graduating in 2022.
MAUMELLE, Ark. — Health Dimensions Group (HDG) has opened Mira at Maumelle, which the developer claims is the first senior living community in the Little Rock suburb of Maumelle. Mira at Maumelle provides independent living, assisted living and memory care services. The number of units was not disclosed. HDG now manages the property, bringing its portfolio to 48 communities in eight states.
VINELAND and WINSLOW, N.J. — Live Well Senior Cottages, a New Jersey-based seniors housing development firm, has received governmental approval for two seniors housing development projects in Vineland and Winslow. The two municipalities are located approximately 15 miles away from each other, both in South Jersey about midway between Philadelphia and the Atlantic Coast. FLORIDA — Sherman & Roylance has arranged the sale of a 42-unit, 64-bed assisted living and memory care community in Northwestern Florida. CareTrust REIT sold the asset to a local owner-operator for an undisclosed price. The community was built in 1997 and was 87 percent occupied at the time of sale. Jack Osteen, Shep Roylance, and John Sherman of Sherman & Roylance led the transaction.
SEATTLE — Design firm Perkins Eastman has hired John Shoesmith as principal in the company’s Seattle studio as part of the firm’s international senior living practice. With more than 30 years of experience, Shoesmith’s work involves the full continuum of senior living, including active adult, life plan communities, assisted living, long-term care environments and intentional intergenerational communities.
