OHIO — Blueprint Healthcare Real Estate Advisors has arranged a new lease for four skilled nursing facilities in Ohio for an undisclosed price. The portfolio is located in northwest Ohio near the Indiana border, as well as the Columbus and Cincinnati metro areas. The four properties total 613 licensed beds. The Columbus-based operator was seeking an exit to the skilled nursing industry, so the REIT owner sought a replacement. Blueprint helped replace the operator and negotiate the new lease.
ARLINGTON, Va. — The National Council on Aging (NCOA) has appointed Ramsey Alwin as the organization’s new chief executive officer. Alwin replaces James Firman, who led NCOA for 25 years until his retirement earlier this year. Alwin is an experienced public policy leader in addressing issues related to aging in America. WEST DES MOINES, Iowa — Lifespace Communities, a West Des Moines-based owner-operator, has appointed Eddie Fenoglio to the position of chief operating officer, effective Oct. 12. Fenoglio brings more than 25 years of operations leadership experience in both public and private senior living organizations. During his time with previous senior living companies, Fenoglio provided oversight for operational strategy, led turnarounds and spearheaded large-scale acquisitions of retirement communities across a broad, multi-state area. ATLANTA — Isakson Living has opened the doors on Peachtree Hills Place, a continuing care retirement community in Atlanta’s upscale Buckhead neighborhood. The first section to open is called The Terraces, offering four levels of care — assisted living, memory care, skilled nursing and short-term rehabilitation — as well as an onsite medical team.
