by Jeff Shaw

NAPERVILLE, Ill. — Charter Senior Living, a Naperville-based operator with 47 communities across 13 states, has hired Janet Tiemeyer as vice president of health and wellness; Thomas “Tip” Hoge as senior director of facility operations; Ben Scott as regional director of operations; and Jennifer Cayson as clinical specialist.

Tiemeyer joins the Charter Senior Living team with 19 years of experience serving seniors and leading clinical departments. Most recently, she served as vice president of clinical integration and strategic accounts for St. Louis-based EmpowerMe Wellness. Prior to that, she held many leadership positions at senior living communities and organizations that support senior wellness programs.

In her new role, Tiemeyer will focus on quality, regulatory compliance and risk management. She will identify and implement new processes and strategies that will improve resident outcomes and enhance associate engagement.

Hoge will oversee all the life safety, emergency repairs, preventive maintenance, renovations and improvement projects for Charter Senior Living. Over the last two decades, he has worked with senior living providers across the country. He’s served in various facility roles, including overseeing 55 assets with Emeritus Senior Living.

Scott joins Charter with over a decade of experience in turning around communities and CCRC operations. Cayson has more than 14 years of experience serving the geriatric population in both homecare and senior housing.

These four additions to Charter Senior Living are part of the company’s larger restructuring plan.
