NACOGDOCHES, Texas — Construction has commenced for a new memory care neighborhood and additional assisted living units at The Arbor Assisted Living, a seniors housing community in the East Texas town of Nacogdoches.

Prevarian Senior Living owns the community, and expects to open the new units in September of 2016. The memory care neighborhood will include five companion and six private suites plus a courtyard, living and dining rooms, and a country kitchen.

The additional assisted living apartments will add nine one-bedroom and three studio suites, a day room, a living area with a fireplace, a beauty salon, and a health and wellness center.

The Nacogdoches office of J.E. Kingham Construction is the general contractor. Civitas Senior Living operates the community.
