CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Hord Coplan Macht (HCM), a Baltimore-based architecture and design firm, has expanded its services to Charlotte and added David Segmiller as principal.
Segmiller will be based in the new Charlotte office, with practice areas in healthcare, senior living, higher education, K-12 schools, housing and mixed-use.
Segmiller specializes in designing facilities for an aging population. He has more than 30 years of design experience and has taught and lectured extensively on the topic at both national and local conferences.
Segmiller has served as the lead instructor for senior living development at the Erickson School for Aging Studies, and as adjunct faculty in the real estate master’s program at Johns Hopkins University. He has also served on the LeadingAge Business Firm Advisory Committee.
Segmiller has a master’s degree in real estate from Johns Hopkins University, a master’s degree in architecture from North Carolina State University and a bachelor’s degree in environmental design from Miami University.
