COLUMBUS, Ohio — Seniors housing and healthcare industry veterans Steve Kennedy and Kass Matt have launched a new finance venture, VIUM Capital.
Based in Columbus, the company is an independent financial services firm focused on providing capital to the seniors housing and healthcare sectors. The firm will offer FHA/GNMA financing, bridge loans, and advisory services, as well as Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac agency financing.
Prior to founding VIUM Capital, Matt spent 14 years at Lancaster Pollard, including the last five years as the firm’s president. Kennedy spent 18 years at Lancaster Pollard as a senior investment banker and member of the firm’s executive committee. Combined, Matt and Kennedy have originated transactions in excess of $5 billion.
“There’s never a time when seniors housing and healthcare isn’t in transition and in need of clarity,” says Kennedy. “Whether it’s the current, unprecedented coronavirus crisis, or ongoing regulatory and financial concerns, being able to pivot accordingly to the latest industry challenges is crucial to an organization’s success.”
The company has partnered with an undisclosed bank to fund bridge loans.
