CHICAGO — Hinshaw & Culbertson LLP, a Chicago-based law firm with offices around the world, has neamed Adam Guetzow as co-practice group leader of the firm’s national healthcare practice. Guetzow will serve alongside current interim practice group leader Stephen Moore.
As part of his new role, Guetzow will lead the firm’s strategic expansion of its current healthcare practice, including an emphasis on aging services and long-term care capabilities. Hinshaw’s aging services practice has grown exponentially in the past few years in response to industry expansion and a growing need for aging services nationwide.
Guetzow focuses his practice on advising clients across the continuum of the aging service and long-term care industry, including home service agencies, assisted living facilities, sheltered care facilities, skilled nursing facilities and continuing care retirement communities. He has a growing emphasis on both litigation and regulatory enforcement issues before both state Departments of Public Health and the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services.
Hinshaw’s healthcare practice provides transactional services, regulatory compliance counseling, risk management and litigation services to clients nationwide.
Over the past decade, Guetzow has been actively involved in developing policy and has assisted with negotiations amongst other stakeholders and re-drafting of Illinois legislation related to aging services and long-term care.
