SALT LAKE CITY — Western States Lodging and Management (WSLM) has hired Katherine Wright as director of resident engagement for the company’s Salt Lake City-based seniors housing subsidiary, Legacy Retirement Communities.
Wright is a nationally certified and state licensed recreational therapist with 10 years’ experience working with older adults. In addition to direct and onsite support, she is an accomplished speaker, sharing her skills and experience through presentations at the Utah Assisted Living Association Conference, Utah Recreation Therapy Association Conference, the University of Utah, and the Utah Health Care Association Conference.
Wright is currently serving as president of the Utah Recreation Therapy Association and holds the NCTRC Specialization Designation for Older Adults, the first recreational therapist in Utah to achieve this distinction.
