DETROIT — Presbyterian Villages of Michigan (PVM) and Hartford Memorial Baptist Church have opened Hartford Village, an 84-unit seniors housing community in Detroit.
Project costs were estimated at $17 million. Development was partially financed via $3 million from HUD’s HOME Investment Partnerships Program, which LeadingAge notes the White House has proposed eliminating. The community features 80 percent market-rate units and 20 percent affordable units.
The 100,000-square-foot property is located on a 6.5-acre plot. The units are made up of 39 cottages and 45 apartments.
