Spectrum Retirement Receives Approval for 162-Unit Community in Algonquin, Illinois

ALGONQUIN, Ill. — The Village of Algonquin Trustees has approved the development of Algonquin Senior Living, a 162-unit seniors housing community. The village is located approximately 45 miles northwest of Chicago.

Spectrum Retirement is leading the project. The Village of Algonquin annexed the 30-acre site in 2017, and its approval was the last step before Spectrum could begin development.

Spectrum plans to break ground in spring 2019. Once open, the community will offer independent living, assisted living, memory care and Spectrum’s transitional memory care program for those with mild impairment.

Denver-based Spectrum operates five communities in the Chicago area.
