RICHMOND, Va. — Virginia Baptist Homes, an operator of four continuing care retirement communities in Virginia, has changed its name to LifeSpire of Virginia.
The company was founded in 1945, the company has operated solely under the Virginia Baptist Homes name until now. The decision was made following months of research, market analysis, surveys and focus groups with current and future residents, along with board members and company executives.
“We chose LifeSpire because it both honors our past and, at the same time, more accurately reflects who we are today and where we are headed in the future,” says Jonathan Cook, the company’s president and CEO.
The name change does not reflect any changes in ownership, staff or corporate structure.
