SEASIDE HEIGHTS, N.J. — Walters, a New Jersey-based affordable housing developer, has completed Cornerstone At Seaside Heights, an age- and income-restricted apartment community in the Jersey Shore town of Seaside Heights.
Walters redeveloped the site, which involved the demolition of several aging buildings to create the barrier island’s only new residential building for seniors. The property includes 91 apartments and community space.
Designed to achieve LEED and Energy Star certifications, the building consists of one- and two-bedroom residences. Rents are $995 per month for one bedroom and $1,250 for two bedrooms.
An open house is scheduled for June 15, 2019, at the newly completed community. The development is open to those 55 or older who make up to 60 percent of the county’s median income.
