MIAMI — Allegro has opened the doors on Allegro Dadeland, a 23-story seniors housing tower in the Dadeland district of Miami.
The property features 212 units of independent living. StudioSIX5 designed the interiors for the 401,338-square-foot community.
The designers faced a challenge when the developers changed the community from active adult to full independent living as construction neared completion, based on surveys of area seniors.
“We ended up ripping out some of the units and replacing them with standard independent living amenities such as a dining room, fully operational bar, as well as physician and wellness offices,” says Claire Richards, project design manager for StudioSIX5. “We even added a penthouse level at the top which boasts finer finishes and upgrades throughout.”
